Weston Strubert is a GIS specialist for the New Jersey Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council. Weston brings a diverse background in both biology and GIS to his work with the Council.

Formerly, Weston worked as a biological science technician, a ‘Geoscientist in the Park,’ and a GIS Intern for the National Park Service at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation. In these roles, Weston led numerous GIS data analysis and management projects, employee and volunteer training efforts, and public education initiatives. His experience also includes roles as a biologist and GIS specialist for several private and nonprofit organizations. Weston’s areas of expertise include invasive species management, field data collection, wetland and stream conservation, habitat management, data management, and GIS operations.

Weston earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Physical Geography, a Master of Biology, and Master of General Science specializing in GIS and remote sensing from East Stroudsburg University.
