Highlands Council Authorizes Purchase of $4.5M in Conservation Easements - (1/8/2018) The HDC Bank has approved the purchase of conservation easements on 16 properties, which will result in $4.5 million in offers to property owners in the Preservation Area of the Highlands Region. Public Notice: 2018 Highlands Council Meeting Schedule - (12/12/2017) A 2018 schedule of regular public meetings has been adopted and published by the Highlands Council. (read)

Draft MPRR Available for Review - (7/10/2017) The Highlands Council has released a draft Monitoring Program Recommendation Report for public comment. The MPRR provides a baseline evaluation of the Highlands RMP and contains recommendations for possible amendments. Recommendations are based on an analysis of indicators identified through a public process, combined with an examination of implementation activities to date. (read)

Highlands Council helps preserve 116 acres in Kinnelon Borough - (7/7/2017) The Highlands Council recently completed a transaction that will allow Kinnelon Borough to permanently protect 116 acres around Untermeyer Lake. Other partners in the project include The Trust for Public Land (TPL), the Morris County Preservation Trust, and the Morris County Board of Freeholders. (read)
