Bloomingdale Borough in Passaic County has 4,155 acres in the Preservation Area and 1,762 acres in the Planning Area of the Highlands Region. The municipality submitted a Petition for Plan Conformance for both areas, which was approved by the Highlands Council on June 16, 2011. In 2017, the Borough passed a resolution authorizing the Borough to withdraw from Plan Conformance for the Planning Area of the municipality.
